Spellbound Launchapalooza
It's here!
I’ve been neglecting you, dear Substack readers, loyal as you are, and for that I apologize. But I’ve had a really good reason—I was busy launching my book!
That’s right-Spellbound by Murder is here!
And, boy have I had fun launching.
I started my journey at Spellboound Bookstore in Sanford, Florida. What a rush! It had the kindest owner who really gets her clients. Seriously—they have silent bookclubs where people just show up and read at the same time. Genius and might I say, she knows her people. The attendees were amazing. And….I got to meet Madeline Martin who was a really fabulous interviewer and incredible writer. Trust me-I’ve read a few of her MANY books, and they left me wanting many more.

Then I traveled home on Brightline. Who doesn’t love bougie train travel? Since I decided to upgrade(since there wasn’t much of a difference in prices) and was treated like a queen!

They asked if I’d be dining with them and since it was niciose salad, of course the answer was yes, please. Riding in style let me ruminate on the event and the people and what I want next in my literary journey, so I spent some time plotting a new cozy series which I sent to my agent who loved it!
I did a podcast! Check out my interview on The Jewish Lens Podcast where I talk with Jonathan Rosen about my road to publishing. I am not an easy person to interview, so kudos to him for keeping up!

Then I segued into my local event at Wellington Barnes & Nobles. It was fantastic! We had a full house and they even had to move us into the music department so that we could all fit. I felt badly for the staff who kept having to bring more chairs, but they were so accomodating. My son’s best friend, Bryanna, showed up with her camera and was my personal paparazi. Her work is so close and personal and I felt super lucky to have her chronicle the event. But we forgot to take a pic of the two of us!

One of my friends from work made the amazing table cloth. Check out her Etsy store if you need to order personalized stuff for your next event. And an attendee did fan art!

Launching a book is so fun! But I still need help.
